Today was a perfect Spring day and so I set off for Dorking to give my new Ecobike its first run. The strain is taken off the ride making it a pleasure to cycle. The motor kicks in and you reach the top of the hill feeling relaxed.
I am so far delighted with my new bike. It provides the support I needed to make cycling once again an enjoyable experience!

Having retired my husband and I were looking for a different fun way to spend our leisure time. Ray and the team at Cycling Made Easy suggested the Elegance Ecobike, we had a trial run and were hooked.
We have now returned from a four day three night tour along Sustran Route 4, from Bristol to Reading.. The bikes carried our luggage with ease as we travelled about 30 miles a day. ??The freedom of cycling, sitting up high and really being part of the countryside, stopping when we wished made it a truly memorable holiday.
Now we are looking at week long tours! Thank you Ray and Cycling made Easy for opening new doors for our retirement.

We are located in the heart of Coulsdon, South London – Just inside the M25. We are local to two train stations and several bus routes. Both Coulsdon Town and Coulsdon South stations are a few minutes walk away, and there is a local Pay & Display car park.
We also have free parking space available at the rear of our showroom for customers who come down by appointment.

Cycling Made Easy was founded by Ray Wookey; Ray is a keen leisure cyclist and experienced in business.
In 1997 Ray moved from a very flat Cambridgeshire to Surrey and “discovered” the Surrey hills! “My journey to work was about 7 miles, a perfect distance to cycle, beat the traffic queues and keep fit at the same time. Sadly the way back was nearly all uphill and so I started to take an active interest in electric bikes.”
The fascination did not go away and Ray kept a constant eye on the eBike market, actively researching and test riding the latest ranges of increasingly high performance bikes. Cycling Made Easy opened in late 2010 with a range of electric, folding and leisure bikes.
We know from personal experience and extensive customer feedback that electric bikes are the most convenient way of getting around. The big benefit of power assistance is that more people can go further and more quickly if they so desire.

The high level of service and security we offer means that anyone who shops with us gets access to a wider range of options than they would elsewhere, as well as full warranty and back up to ensure they are well protected in their purchase.
To our customers credit they take every effort to compare bikes on specification and capability. However in electric bikes this is more difficult to do as it requires a level of technical knowledge to know what it all translates to in use.
The real test of a bike comes from a live test ride to feel how it handles and performs. Every bike is different and has its own unique strengths, which is why we stock such a varied range.
We stock primarily bikes we have faith in as proven, capable and attractive, and aim to get the best bike possible for the customers budget. A lot of time is spent stacking up different options to see which bikes provide the best value, and making sure money spent gives a good return.
Like we advise our customers to, we make our decisions by test riding each bike. It is this which helps us understand what models suit each persons differing cycling ambitions.

I already had an electric bike but it was coming towards the end of its days so decided to purchase a new one with a better battery and lightweight design. It's very hilly around where I live in Galashiels and although I love going out cycling I find the hills are a bit tough nowadays!
I went on the internet and did my research. I wanted a good looking bike and also wanted to purchase from an established brand with good back up and support. The Volt bikes look great and come with a great specification. They're also a great price for what you get.
The service I've received from the guys at the Electric Bike Store has been excellent. They're very professional and definitely know their stuff. I would be happy to recommend them and the Volt bikes to anyone. I don't think you can get better for your money.

It’s very responsive as it goes round corners.. there’s no fighting with it or anything like that, it’s absolutely brilliant.
The area that I stay in is very hilly, and it’s a great thing because I no longer have to worry about which route I take.
Before when you knew you had a big hill at the end of your cycle run, it made you think ‘I don’t really want to do that today because I don’t feel fit enough’, but having electric assistance, I don’t worry about it anymore, I just carry on – Sometimes I go up some really fierce hills, just to try it out.
As I said, it’s absolutely brilliant and it’s made a big difference to my life.
